Let's see what you got: Positive things about the game: - Amazing atmosphere (You will be scared, the atmospheric sounds and the darkness will drive you nuts). - Music/Sound (Simply amazing, ambient sound will scare you, as you don't know if it's a monster or just your imagination). - Graphics (The lighting is good, and the environment textures are well polished). - Physics (You can basically move anything you see, and it will react naturally to your touch - some puzzles also require you to take advantage of these physics). - Voice acting - You have no weapons (You can't defend yourself, so if you're attacked by one of the games disgustingly gruesome monsters you have two choices - Run for your life, or try and hide). - Sanity meter (Your brain will slowly drip out of your ass the longer you stay in the darkness, or if you see a monster. Solving puzzles and staying in the light will slowly return your sanity to normal). - Long (about 13 hours or so). Negative things about the game: - Puzzles are a bit too easy (Compared to the Penumbra series, almost laughable). - Lack of monster diversity (All the same monster types will have the same model - but they're still scary as hell). - Story (It tries to tell it through diary's and notes, which isn't really good if you miss a few because you will have no idea what's going on). - Some scripted events are predictable - Can actually scare you into not playing it (This is more of a joke negative :P <b>...</b>

My first test shoot using the Canon Rebel 550D T2i, and first time trying to shoot video on an HDSLR. Shot some stuff over the weekend and early Monday morning in the Dallas area. Overall I learned a lot about the pros and cons of shooting video on an HDSLR. I think the footage will show the good and bad and what to look out for, so might be helpful to some. Everything is shot 1920x1080 at 24fps. I only used the kit lens (canon 18-55mm) it came with to see what it could do. I put a $15 UV filter on the front to protect the lens. The first half is mostly all handheld. It was a clear day so I put the top down on my convertible. I sped up, slowed down, and reversed some footage and was mostly testing to see how it does with processing motion and tried to cover a wide range of shots to get familiar with the T2i camera. I used a $15 mini targus tripod that when closed fit in my car's cup holder to steady some of the shots. I used it mostly while driving in the rain. A little color correction was done in CS4.
