RetroGamerVX Frogger Challenge:- 57240 (MAME) (x3)
My fifth and final response to RetroGamerVX's I CHALLENGE THEE: Frogger! I managed to get this recorded without any of the slowdowns and dropouts of my previous tries with MAME. The replay is sped up by three times. I was hoping eventually to beat current record holder AtsumaKarin and his amazing 110K+ but now I realise it's never going to be. I'm pretty confident with dealing with Level 5 now, but the first real obstacle to a high score is the concentration required (my effort here comes to an end with an embarrassing and totally unnecessary squelch). The second challenge is dealing with the unpredictable speed changes. Some people complain Frogger is hard, and they haven't even had to dodge the fast bulldozers yet! Sometimes it happens as early as the 25K mark. Nasty.
