Alexis' rotating pool of male secretaries, whose names she could rarely remember, became a running joke in the 4th season of "Dynasty." David, who served Denver's Queen of Mean in season 3, may have been her longest employed secretary as he makes appearance in several episodes. Alexis also seemed to have a problem with high turnover among other employees, too.

Carrol said in a 2001 "Dynasty" documentary she suggested herself for the role of Dominique Deveraux, by telling producer Aaron Spelling he needed a "black bitch" on 'Dynasty.'
