The most realistic and accurate version of this all-time pirate tune. Forget POTC. The song is subtitled, so you can sing it in your nights at sea! This is from the Roger Wagner Chorale recording of Sea Chantys. Capitol record number P3462 of 1959. Harve Presnell is the soloist. Thanks to IUFTR for the info and sorry for my big mistake. As you will know, the song is based on the lyrics by RL Stevenson's Treasure Island, one of the greatest novels ever written. I think this version captures its essence, and because of it I say it's the most realistic and accurate version (for me). Stevenson is one of my favourite writers. Hoo boy. This countdown's been in the works for a looooooooong time... I've been thinking of ideas since late 2009, I made the script for this while I was working on Easiest Bosses 2010, and I've played several new games since then for the sole purpose of making this list (namely #1).
