This entry focuses on the many incarnations of the fire dude, Ifrit. Enjoy! Notes regarding this video (please read before commenting!): - For the entire series, I have simply gathered video footage from various sources on YouTube and compiled them together. I've done this only to entertain the many fans of Final Fantasy here on YouTube, so with that said, many thanks to all the folks who took the time to record the game footage. - Again, for the whole series, I've focused solely on the main games. Remakes and updates of those games are featured, but I've opted to skip games like Tactics, FFX-2 and such. I had to draw the line somewhere to keep a reasonable length. - As usual, DS video is kind of tricky to capture, so the footage for FFIII isn't direct-feed quality. I used the best I could find. - Although not found in the original release, the extra boss fights added in the later remakes of FFIV have been included. - Same as above, the FFX International release has some additional boss summon fights, so they are also covered. - Finding FFXI footage without some terrible song playing throughout is tough to find, so I opted to use the opening of the avatar battle and forego the 2-hour and weapon skills. - Yes, Ifrit is a ship in FFXII.

She was a tank for most of the battle. She did some nice damage before he finally beat her. But she had backup... It's 40 minutes long, but this is the only time that I've ever defeated him, so this is all I have. I'll try to make a shorty one, but I still defeated him, and that's all that matters. It took me many tries to win this, so you had better enjoy the show!

The way the SeeD field exam is programmed is questionable. Don't worry I did it right. It may not seem like it because I stalled at the end but that is how it's supposed to be done. Now on to real info: Final Fantasy 8 was my first final fantasy. Back then (the year is 2001) I was probably the ultimate RPG noob. I was scared of RPGs. What I was afraid of was losing track of the story and then forgetting where to go thereby forcing me to restart the game but fortunately that never happened. This is because NPCs tell the player where their next destination is. I discovered this with my experience with "Super Mario RPG" (My first RPG.) Who would've thought "passing the first stage." required that I press "A" next to toad. Yeah that's how I thought back then. I like Final Fantasy 8 but years later I discovered that it had quirks and such that made it stand out to some degree. Especially with regards to the other final fantasies. Nonetheless I still wish to make these videos. My position in recording these vids is slighty different than what it was in FF 9. In FF 9 I was just some traveling black mage. Here it's similar except I'm the head of something I made up. Lmao. Gotta give me credit on using my imagination eh? As before with FF 9, you'll see just the boss vids. Legend of the Galactic Heroes is an anime series that either gets no attention at all, or is dismissed as boring, but at 110 episodes, filled with an intriguing political backdrop, with many characters without bias, it stands in aniime as the true, epic space opera, even greater than gundam (in my honest opinion, although I love gundam). Basic summary of this battle. 1) Equip defense+ gear. MP does not matter in this battle. 2) First you thing you do is pop a boiled crab. You can do this before you trade the fork, or right after entering the battle field. 3) Run up the ramp, past the bend, and stop right at the crack near the top of the ramp. 4) From there, start summoning Carbuncle (who will immediately engage with the Avatar) 5) Pop a Yagudo drink right after, this will ensure that you can pull off Searing Light and still have Carbuncle out (Searing Light wipes out your MP pool). 6) Use your two hour Summoner ability, Astral Flow 7) Use Searing Light 8) RUN! Do not stick around to see how Carby is doing, if you used Yagudo drink, Carby should still be out and kicking so put as much distance between you and the Avatar. 9) When you get to the very bottom of the battle field where you first entered pop an ether (not hi-ether, that takes too long to use) 10) Resummon Carbuncle who should have died while you were running down. 11) Use Searing Light again. 12) RUN! 13) When you get to the top of the ramp, resummon Carbuncle. 14) Pop another ether 15) Searing Light again 16) The avatar should either be dead, or very close to dead. If very close to dead twack it with a stick or use banish. A few reminders: - Be sure to have macros for everything. Decided it was time I compressed the 2GB files sitting in my FRAPS folder, after being asked to upload this by some LS members. The only reason I did this solo was for the challenge factor; Final Fantasy XI has been starting to get a little tiresome for me lately, so this was a little something I did for fun, for two linkshell buddies (Rybezahl and Pythios) who needed the Avatar/Whisper. I've left in my buffs to show what you need to be casting in order to go up against an avatar solo as PLD/RDM. I recommend you get your hands on a Joyeuse or something similiar before attempting one, though it may be possible to do without. As of now I've solo'd Ifrit, Ramuh and Titan. Wakka knows how to handle balls. I know, it's cheap and all that stuff but hey, 2 blitzball leagues and 2 tournaments aren't exactly fun or short. It's not like they would be impossible without, it just wouldn't fit on 1 video. There is no reason to level up defence as Auto-Phoenix takes care of anything, which makes HP also worthless. All of the Dark Aeons are possible without much defence or HP. No Penance btw, as I've done that guy once already and he is boring, long and requires a solid strategy and near maxed stats.
