Poor guy. Three phase fight, pretty easy. If you wipe you must do all the phases again. Phase 1: Harbingers of Flame are the same trash from Alysrazor but more of them, just assign interrupters. Phase 2: The Tormented Protector should be tanked away from the middle. He'll root the entire raid then cast a 1000 yard knockback that will knock you off the edge to your death unless you have his roots debuff on you. The roots also tick for 10000 a second and should be dispelled after his stomp. Burning Treants spawn in the middle, move slowly and pulse a hellfire around them that will kill you if you stand near them, ranged should kill and knockback them. Phase 3: Volcanus himself summons slow moving columns of killsyou and pulses a steadily increasing AoE so you should bloodlust on him.

worldofwarcraft.tgn.tv — Arcane Mage DPS rundown (episode 19 of 22) in World of Warcraft Cataclysm! We look at the spec and rotation for an Arcane Mage, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk. Arcane is an overly simplistic and, frankly, boring rotation that involves stacking Arcane Blast 2-3 times and then hitting Arcane Missiles to clear it (or Barrage if AM doesn't proc in that time). You will also want to rotate armors, starting with Molten Armor and 3 stacks of Blast, then switching to Mage Armor and 2 stacks once you get low. Once Evocation comes off of cooldown, switch back to Molten and 3 stacks. Once your gear gets good enough, you might be able to stay on 3 stacks/Molten full time. In converting this old video to wide screen, I actually had to edit it from scratch because just trimming the original didn't work as you might expect. As a result, there are some minor differences between this video and the original. Since I was doing it from scratch, I did change a few things that you might notice. However, I tried to keep these changes very small. For you machinimators out there, I strongly recommend that you archive your footage and your project files because you never know when you might want to do something like this. I wrote this song and shot all the footage in 2005. Not only was this before the Burning Crusade expansion pack, but also it was before the first "mage love" patch which made the mage more powerful. So please don't focus on the numbers you'll see in this video. The video was never about the critical hits. If I could have removed that text, I would have. In some cases I was able to because I was using a "camera man", but in other cases it was live footage with the UI turned off (try it some time), but I couldn't turn off the damage numbers. If you saw my other videos, I ran Dragon Age 2 with 3 mages and 1 rogue (forced with one rogue because can't have 4 mage party =(, besides I like the experience from opening locks and disarming traps but still would like to run 4 mages in one Dragon Age game some time) and in this video my mage-tank Hawke is notably more powerful compared to my last videos. To make a mage tough enough to be an awesome tank (only Hawke can get ALL of these powers from force mage and spirit healer): 1. Improved rock armor from primal tree which is with galvanism. 2. Basic level arcane shield (will upgrade for resists later). 3. Unshakable from force mage to have 100 fort so can't be knocked around and other such effects. 4. Resilience from spirit healer with improved healing aura (some crazy health regeneration with this if you see the video especially when combined with Anders' Panacea; basically resilience gives +100 health regeneration, improved healing aura gives another +100 health regeneration and when in range Panacea gives +50 health regeneration). With these powers a mage can be tough as any tank or tougher, the only issue is threat but I circumvented that issue with using a rogue to redirect threat and use lightning to catch foes in the beginning, and then focus fire so the other creatures only attack Hawke. worldofwarcraft.tgn.tv — Frost Mage DPS rundown (episode 17 of 22) in World of Warcraft Cataclysm! We look at the spec and rotation for a Frost Mage, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk. Frost is a lot of fun. It is based around Frostbolt as your main nuke, with fast reactions to the constant procs of Brain Freeze and Fingers of Frost. It feels like a dynamic dps cycle, despite only using a handful of keybinds. Really, the whole design should be held up as a great example of how to make a character. In order to calculate Deep Freeze, which does not do damage to dummies, I included some heroic footage and recount data. I figure that Deep Freeze does 15% of your personal dps, so I factored that in for a rough estimate of the "real" dummy data. Also, I was not using the new Glyph of Deep Freeze in the heroic footage, so I figured that the 20% from that glyph canceled out the 20% of my damage that came from the water elemental, so I simply took the dummy test results (6600) divided by .85 to get the "final estimate" of 7700. Feel free to criticize that, but the point is: it does great damage, and the heroic numbers with purple gear and a rampage buff supports that conclusion.
