Strella more than a woman
The director Panos H. Koutras, gives us a well-made film, with a deconstruction of the human relationships that can only be understood from the bonding of sexual diversity. In the first scene Yiorgos (Yannis Kokiasmenos), says goodbye to his young gay lover in prison as he is released. He is a man in his fifties, thin and not smiling ever. Rent a hotel room in a seedy building and walk into the street, a neighbor appears asking for a light for her cigarette, she is Strella (Mina Orfanou). Strella, is a mix word between Stella (Star) and Trella (Mad). When Yorgos returns, late at night to his hotel, found out the sculptural Stella, prompting for fire again, but maybe something else, then she invites him for a drink to her room. Yorgos no stranger to what he sees, knows that she is a transsexual woman, immediately afterwards, they are kissing each other and of course more than that. Later on, Yorgos want to sell his old house in a village near Athens, and went to the bar where friends celebrate their liberation. In the afternoon back home see Strella invites him to her apartment by a glass of whiskey, and he says he will give her a surprise, that he has assembled that is a set of lights, because it gives him the power. Strella lives with a gay guy and the young child, that the small brother of his androgyn friend. The thing goes well for Yorgos and Strella, she is working in a bar and there she is the impersonator of Maria Cllas, the opera singer, that actually was born in <b>...</b>

[PORTUGUES] Fundado na alvorada do presente milénio, os Strella do dia têm vindo a desenvolver um trabalho pioneiro relacionado com a pesquisa e interpretação musical na vertente da recriação histórica, mais precisamente com a época Medieval. Ao longo de mais de 10 anos de existência, e com uma presença assídua nos maiores festivais de recriação histórica não só em Portugal como no estrangeiro, o grupo Português Strella do Dia, é actualmente uma referência a nível Europeu. Com a utilização de instrumentos como a gaita-de-foles, tarota, gralla, chalumeau, corno, timbalão, darbuka, bendir, crótalos, alaúde árabe, baglama, harpa e as flautas, a música torna-se plena em metamorfoses. O repertório é retirado de documentação musical sobrevivente tais como: Cantigas de Santa Maria, Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, a compilação Carmina Burana, repertório tradicional e danças medievais como as "estampidas", "ductias", "saltarellos", entre outros. Com o primeiro albúm "Sacrus Profanus", editado em 2009, os Strella do Dia, preparam-se para apresentar no início em 2012 o seu mais recente trabalho.
