This is Ipswich's answer to the London Liverpool Street T-Mobile Dance! This is the final result of only three works of choreography and teaching from Oliver Brett and the participation of over 50 people whether they be camera men, dancers or organisers. The co-op juniors also played a part in helping with this event with some members and ex-members taking part, and using their rehearsal space to practice the dance. The final result will be used for my media coursework. Three weeks ago I was looking at a huge task of finding a capable choreographer and dance teacher who had a very short amount of time in which to do his work. I also had to find 5 willing camera men or women with enough experience to get good results and finally with a huge amount of help from Alan Ayers I managed to book the Town Hall in Ipswich Town Centre and the Town Square. The Second T-MOBILE DANCE! Mobile phones kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the mobile phone industry must take "immediate steps" to reduce exposure to their radiation. The study, by Dr Vini Khurana, is the most devastating indictment yet published of the health risks. [...] Earlier this year, the French government warned against the use of mobile phones, especially by children. Germany also advises its people to minimise handset use, and the European Environment Agency has called for exposures to be reduced. Professor Khurana a top neurosurgeon who has received 14 awards over the past 16 years, has published more than three dozen scientific papers reviewed more than 100 studies on the effects of mobile phones. He has put the results on a brain surgery website, and a paper based on the research is currently being peer-reviewed for publication in a scientific journal. He admits that mobiles can save lives in emergencies, but concludes that "there is a significant and increasing body of evidence for a link between mobile phone usage and certain brain tumours". He believes this will be "definitively proven" in the next decade. Noting that malignant brain tumours represent "a life-ending diagnosis", he adds: "We are currently experiencing a reactively unchecked and dangerous situation." Hundreds of shoppers at the Westfield shopping centre in London got an early Christmas present this morning when dance phenomena Diversity, supported by 120 dancers, performed an impromptu 90 second dance routine to a medley of tracks including music by Michael Jackson and The Black Eyed Peas in the shopping malls Atrium. Diversity leader and Got To Dance judge, Ashley Banjo, said: "We have done a lot of performances recently, but this was by far one of the most exciting because the crowd werent expecting it. I have warned the boys, that there are so many talented dancers in Got To Dance we had better watch our backs.
