In Memory of Stacy Goodall, age 15, who died from Cystic Fibrosis!

My sister Stacy died on the 20th June 2005 at age 15, just 13 days after her birthday, tragic story, she died from Cystic Fibrosis but faced death with a very brave heart! She was with her family at the end comforting her while she passed away at home! Stacy was put on the lung transplant list about a year before she died but as her health deteriorated she was fully aware that death was imminent so she asked to be taking off the transplant list again much to everyone's shock but understanding and she knew what she wanted, which was a peaceful death at home because she grew tiresome and pissed off with all the medical treatment interfering in one way ironically enough and she wanted peace! It was somewhat horrifying watching my sister die in the way that she did but she felt no pain because by this stage her morphine doses were so high that she did not make any coherent sense. It was a relief in one sense after her passing because i knew as did everyone there that her pain and suffering would bother her no more. If you had the privilege of knowing Stacy, then you would see that she had a great sense of humour yet there was a sense of decorum about her, she didnt complain much at all about her condition which was very admirable and like i said before she faced death head on with a very brave heart. The reverend of the local church had remarked how calm and understanding of death she was and that he had never met someone so young who was ready to die and not fear death in ...
