Strung Out - Analog with lyrics

Through the coolest haze of this dreamlike maze it has begun and all I wanted you near With these wounds I bled a perfect tone of red in isolation through the swollen eyes Of the dying, and my waking dreams we're all dying to become what we swore we never would Now I watch and mourn in bloom You take the way you know I'll take the road unknown and meet you there at the end of time We are frequency we are tragedy we are the love we need to keep us here We are the dying, we are the hungry ones we are the waiting forever faithful when I see you on the other side I will not be the same as I was when I was yours How I wanted you near We are the dying, we are the lonely ones we are the heartache forever waiting when I see you on the other side I will not be the same as I was when I was yours We've got the anger, fear and isolation, exiled to this place. We've got the pain, separates the tragic years I've gone through all this waste and when we finally separate ourselves, the world we choose to leave behind I will not be the same as I was when I was yours.
MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay

www.ProGuitarShop.com - The new MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay is one tasty delay echo pedal. Guitarists who have been missing the warm, thick sounds of 70's bucket-brigade delay pedals will be delighted by the MXR Carbon Copy. The purely analog signal path preserves the warm and smooth tonal qualities and lets you get everything from short, sweet slapback echo to 600 milliseconds of cavernous, ghostly delays. The controls are quite basic. Even the most blockheaded guitar monkey should be able to figure the MXR Carbon Copy Delay out. Knobs controls are for Delay Time, Wet/Dry Mix, and Repeats. There is also a modulation button on top to add some shimmering, modulated goodness. Two internal trim pots control the width and rate of the aforementioned modulation. This is a great feature that really kicks this little echo pedal up a notch on the "lush-o-meter". Other features of the Carbon Copy include a smart looking sparkle forest green finish, beautiful blue LED, and 9V battery or AC Adapter operation. Dig it...

ADA - analog interactive installation / kinetic sculpture by Karina Smigla-Bobinski

ADA - analog interactive installation / kinetic sculpture by Karina Smigla-Bobinski. Music by Mohammad Reza Mortazavi. Complete documentation: www.smigla-bobinski.com Similiar to Tinguely's «Méta-Matics», is "ADA" an artwork with a soul. It acts itself. At Tinguely's it is sufficient to be an unwearily struggling mechanical being. He took it wryly: the machine produces nothing but its industrial self-destruction. Whereas «ADA» by Karina Smigla-Bobinski, is a post-industrial "creature", visitor animated, creatively acting artist-sculpture, self-forming artwork, resembling a molecular hybrid, such as a one from nano biotechnology. It developes the same rotating silicon-carbon-hybrids, midget tools, miniature machines able to generate simple structures. «ADA» is much larger, esthetical much complexer, an interactive art-making machine. Filled up with helium, floating freely in room, atransparent, membrane-like globe, spiked with charcoals that leave marks on the walls, ceilings and floors. Marks which «ADA» produces quite autonomously, athough moved by a visitor. The globe obtains aura of liveliness and its black coal traces, the appearance of being a drawing . The globe put in action, fabricate a composition of lines and points, which remains incalculable in their intensity, expression, form however hard the visitor tries to control «ADA», to drive her, to domesticate her. Whatever he tries out, he would notice very soon, that «ADA» is an independent performer, studding the <b>...</b>

vintage synth demo by RetroSound Moog Source Analog Synthesizer from the year 1981 The Moog Source is a very nice synth and the first and only Moog to replaced the buttons with a membrane panel. And the first Z80 microprocessor-controlled Moog with patch memory. The sound is fantastic, very deep and powerfull. I love the Sources incredible low end sound like the Moog Taurus 1. The best Taurus 1 emulation I have ever heard. In my ears better than the Taurus 3. The Source is perfect for very nice bass and lead sounds. KORG MONOPOLY Analog Synth DEMO | Mono Poly

I played the Korg MonoPoly sometimes with a Roland DEP-5 for delay effects and a Lexicon MPX-500 for reverbs. The Korg MonoPoly came out 1981 and was the last analogue monophonic synthesizer from Korg (ok, they have now the Monotron, but this is rather a toy). Actually, the MonoPoly is a monophonic synth - but you can play it polyphonically, too - if necessary. The Korg/Mono Poly is a very flexible synthesizer: It has 4 oscillators, oscillator sync, cross modulation, PWM, noise generator (white noise), 24 dB Filter, 2 ADSR envelopes, 2 LFO's with many waveforms, ARPEGGIATOR, CHORD MEMORY and portamento. The built in microprocessor makes many things possible: chord memory, arpeggiator, key assign and polyphony. It is built around SSM chips like the Korg Polysix. I think, with the MONOPOLY Korg wanted to produce a synth as an alternative to the Minimoog and Sequential Circuits Pro One. Please don't expect it to sound like a Minimoog. The Minimoog remains one of the best sounding analog synths, and the Monopoly (like many others) can not compete in terms of sound quality. The basic sound is a bit "lo fi" but not too much like the MS series. It is a flexible instrument with an amazing potential. The most characteristic thing on the MonoPoly is the arpeggiator, when it triggers the oscillators in poly-mode. Every step of the arpeggiator triggers a different oscillator - unique patterns can be produced. The MonoPoly is a great synth with awesome sounds - it produces fat basses <b>...</b>

Korg Monotron Analog Ribbon Synth

Palm-sized, battery-powered analog ribbon synth with expressive effects and popular Korg filters. Analog synths were once massive, temperamental monsters, but the Korg monotron proves that big things now come in small packages. The true analog monotron synthesizer fits in your pocket and makes it possible for you to play anytime, anyplace. Although it is small enough to hold in one hand, the Korg monotron synth delivers enormous, dazzling sounds. The controls have been streamlined for ease of use—concentrating on the most important sound parameters, the panel contains only five knobs and one switch. With this level of simplicity, now anyone can easily enjoy the world of analog synthesizers. It's simply a blast to play. Ribbon controller keyboard offers easy expression Borrowing the enjoyment of performing with a simple touch from Korg's wildly popular KAOSS products, the monotron synth's ribbon controller keyboard takes this ease of use even farther. Simple finger gestures can produce expressive effects such as vibrato and glide. 1VCO, 1VCF, 1LFO - Modular synthesis building blocks The Korg monotron's circuit is radically simple: one voltage-controlled oscillator, one voltage-controlled filter, and one low frequency oscillator. As a result, the process of sound creation is intuitive, and instantly understandable. And it's tons of fun. This Korg synth provides the joy of sonic creativity that's at the heart of analog synthesis. The famous Korg filter This Korg synthesizer <b>...</b>

KORG POLY-800 Analog Synthesizer 1984 | HQ DEMO | PATCHES

The Korg Poly-800 came out 1984 and is an interesting analog synthesizer with usable, interesting sounds. It has MIDI, runs even on batteries, and can be used as a remote keyboard. It was cheap, almost every musician could afford one - and can afford it even today. It has digital controlled oscillators (DCO's). Not digital oscillators - they are just controlled digitally. Actually, it has just square waveforms. Combining different footages of squares you'll obtain the usual saw, pulse and square waveforms - and some more. In the WHOLE mode it's 8-voice polyphonic. In DOUBLE MODE you have 2 DCO's per voice, this sounds best. This however, reduces the polyphony to 4 voices. It has a VCF - a real resonant analog filter. It also has 3 complex envelopes and a noise generator. It also has a switchable CHORUS, CHORD MEMORY and a polyphonic STEP SEQUENCER. What a pity that it does not have something like RING MOD or OSC SYNC. It also lacks portamento and PWM. But okay, it was a small budget synth. There also was a POLY-800 MK II, which had a programmable delay instead of the MK I's chorus. Also more MIDI functions and a bigger sequencer memory. But the sound of the filter is not as smooth as on the MK I. The sound does not reach the warmth of the original Poly-800. The Korg EX-800 is the desktop / rack version of the Poly-800. It has the same features and sound but CHORD MEMORY is missing. And it can't run on batteries. A desktop version EX-800 II never existed. In this movie I <b>...</b>

ROLAND ALPHA JUNO-1 Analog Synthesizer 1985 | HQ DEMO

I played all sounds dry without any external effects. The Roland Alpha Juno-1 is an great analog, polyphonic, programmable synthesizer with MIDI. It came out 1985. Like all Junos, it has 1 oscillator and 1 suboscillator per voice. It also has a resonant 24 dB lowpassfilter as well as a highpass filter. The chorus effect is better than on earlier Junos - it can be tweaked (depth, speed). The "tone modify" on the front panel allows someting like "easy edit" to tweak sounds easily (MOD RATE, MOD DEPTH, BRILLIANCE, ENV TIME). The most comfortable way to tweak sounds is using a programmer - but it also works with the alpha dial wheel.

KORG MS-10 Analog Synthesizer 1978 | HQ DEMO

In this demo, I played the MS-10 with Roland DEP-5 (delay) and Lexicon MPX 500 (reverb). The semimodular monophonic Korg MS-10 hit the market 1978 and was the small brother of the popular MS-20. It can be seen as a cutdown version of the MS-20. It has 1 VCO, 1 VCF, 1 LFO and 1 ADSR envelope. It has one feature, that the MS-20 doesn't has: PWM - pulse width modulation. It can be modulated by the LFO, ADSR, keyboard, noise or any other external source. It also has an input jack for external signals - they can be treated with the filter and envelopes. It has a 12 dB filter - similar to the MS-20 lowpass filter. The MS-10 is an interesting synthesizer and also an useful expansion to your MS20. If you don't have a MS-20, don't worry - the MS-10 delivers some typical MS-20 sounds - but only a fraction of them. The MS-10 sounds great - raw, electronic basses, dirty leads, interesting FX... and you can treat external sounds with the filter.

WCBS TV New York Analog TV Sign Off June 12th 2009

A Brief Review: 68 Years of NTSC for CBS CBS's first television broadcasts were experimental, often only for one hour a day, and reaching a limited area in and around New York City (over station W2XAB channel 2, later called WCBW and finally WCBS-TV). The FCC began licensing commercial television stations on July 1, 1941; [on that day, they issued a license] to WCBW, (now WCBS). On Feb 12 1946, the newly completed AT&T inter-city coaxial cable was inaugurated with an experimental broadcast of Lincoln Memorial Services from Washington DC to NBC, CBS, and DuMonts stations in New York. This date is commonly referred to as the birth date of television network broadcasting. The term "chain broadcasting" was used, as the stations were linked together in long chains along the east coast. But as the networks expanded westward, the interconnected stations formed great networks of connected affiliate stations. By 1951, the four networks stretched coast-to-coast, carried on the new microwave radio relay network of AT&T Long Lines. In 1987, cross-country microwave radio relays were replaced by Fixed Service Satellites. Some terrestrial radio relays remained in service for regional connections. In 2000, satellite capacity and quality were increased with the transition to digital modulation. On June 19, the FCC decommissioned NTSC as the terrestrial broadcast standard leaving the ATSC digital terrestrial transmission. CBS Network followed by eliminating SD satellite distribution on <b>...</b>
