The Langley Schools Music Project is a 60-voice chorus of rural school children from western Canada, untrained but captivated by melodic magic, singing tunes from current Pop groups of the day. These 1976-77 recordings, captured on a 2-track tape deck in a school gymnasium, weren't staged to achieve money or fame, to sell albums or land a record contract. These kids played music because they loved it. These recordings deserve to be heard and preserved. They brim with charm and youthful expression inspired by passion and enthusiasm. These recordings were originally contained on two 12" LPs, pressed exclusively for the students, their classmates, teachers, and parents. They were never intended for exposure outside the provincial Langley region,..until now! "I'm into Something Good" was composed by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and made famous by Herman's Hermits.

But then I never liked conventional 'children's music,' which is condescending and ignores the reality of children's lives, which can be dark and scary. These children hated 'cute.' A music teacher in Canada decided to teach his elementary class by letting them sing top 40 hits. For some reason these sessions were recorded and sold to the kids' relatives. And oh yes, one of the tracks is a masterpiece. A Carpenters remake (!!!), this is actually closer in sound and spirit to the Velvet Underground's "Ocean". "We are your friends..." Unfortunately, there was a big crash during the time trials due to a stuck throttle, the driver appeared to have no injuries, but the car looked pretty used up. Then, just as the clean up crew was almost done, the rain came. Leading to the cancelation of the rest of the events.

Since the clips became so popular, we decided to put the best footage from all 3 days of the AirPower Over Hampton Roads 2006 airshow together. You'll see the 30 foot long afterburner flames on Friday night, the hover after takeoff on Saturday and the high alpha display from Sunday. Bear in mind that this is NOT an actual demo as the team has not even formed yet. This is simply the pilot (Lt. Col Michael "Dozer" Shower) showing the audience just some of the things the aircraft is capable of.

Lien Doan Hung Vuong Troop 612 participated in the Vietnamese New Years Festival known as Cho Tet. This festival took place @ Langley High School for two days and in which the Troop sold Coffee, Donuts, and Vietnamese food and they also performed the Lion Dance 5 times. (Twice the first day and three times the second day). The lion dace performed in this video was the 3rd performance on the second day of the festival. The participants in this video are: Kendrick (Head & Back Up Drummer), David (Back Up Head & Drummer), Kenny (Tail), Ky (Back Up Tail), James (Lucky Buddha), Andrew (Cymbals), Tony (Drum cart puller). *Please don't criticize the way we performed, we know it's not as pro. as most Lion Dancers but we had fun and it seemed everyone enjoyed our performance. Langley AFB Airshow 2009 - F-15 West Coast Demo Team (Last Public Show)
The F-15 West Coast demo team at the 2009 Air Power Over Hampton Roads airshow at Langley AFB April 25th. This weekends show was infact the last public show appearance for the F-15 demo team as we'll be seeing the Strike Eagle demo team now. Although what really sucks is I was I couldn't bear to go to the sundays show at Langley as I was severely sun burned in my head and I just couldn't stay out in the sun. So I decided to make the day drive home, so sadly I had to miss the fire trucks hosing the F-15 as he taxied back to the parking zone. Sure would've been a nice site to see.
