Shocking video taken from an NYPD helicopter shows new angles from the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The footage was recently leaked by Cryptome ( cryptome.org ). The 15-minutes of footage is raw video of the towers in flames. The video taken by NYPD was allegedly obtained by the federal government's National Institute of Standards and Technology under the Freedom of Information Act for the purpose of conducting their 9/11 investigation. At 48, the Porsche 911 Carrera is younger than ever: the completely redesigned generation of the sports car icon is stepping into the limelight with its flat, stretched silhouette. The 100 millimetre (~ 3.9 inches) longer wheelbase and reduced height combined with the up to 20-inch wheels underpin the athletic appearance. Seen from the front, the eye is drawn to the 911's trademark wide-arched wings. They emphasise the wider front track, so that the new 911 Carrera models sit even more solidly on the road. The all-new, lightweight body is an intelligent aluminium-steel construction. It is responsible for a significant proportion of the weight reduction of up to 45 kilograms. Combined with significantly greater rigidity. Aerodynamic optimisation -- including a wider, variably extending rear spoiler -- enabled the new 911 Carrera's lift to be reduced yet further while retaining a very good Cd value.

In cars with the manual gearbox, the engine switches off automatically when, for example, you stop at traffic lights, select neutral and release the clutch pedal. In cars with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the engine switches off whenever you stop and leave your foot on the brake pedal. All audio and communication systems remain switched on and the climate con- trol continues to maintain your selected temperature. The only differences you will notice are the silence at the rear and the fuel saving. As soon as you operate the clutch or release the brake, the engine will restart swiftly and smoothly. The auto start/stop function may remain inactive under particular circumstances, extreme outside temperatures, when the SPORT button is selected or if battery charge is low. It is also possible to deactivate the function manually using a separate button on the center console.
