V12 Vantage meets Gulf LMP1 race car
The Aston Martin V12 engine sits not just at the heart of the One-77, DBS, DB9, Rapide and V12 Vantage but also the 2010 DBR1-2 Le Mans race car. The V12 Vantage was launched to critical acclaim in 2009, and in 2010, it arrived in the US. It is the ultimate performance interpretation of the Vantage range featuring a 6.0 litre V12 engine producing 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb.ft) and has been dynamically honed to deliver an unparalleled driving experience. The V12 engined DBR1-2 is an Aston Martin LMP1 race car which competed throughout 2009 and 2010. It won the Le Mans Series in 2009 and achieved three podiums in 2010. Mugen CR-Z Race Car RIDE!
With no exaggeration, this car was so fast that went over my expectation. The track was a small parking space where low-end torque was needed, and corners pretty tight. This CR-Z had the most stiff springs that perfectly matched the race track road condition, but not quite at all on this bumpy parking space road. So the car was constantly bouncing up and down during most of the time on track, but due to its light-weight, low-heighted body with semi-slick tires, made it go really fast. Compared to Honda S2000 I personally own, I will say the acceleration was even, but this CR-Z was faster at cornering under this specific track layout. Detailed spec is not available for this car, but I assume they did something with both engine and electric motor. Needless to say, the body should weigh less than 1000kg. I am guessing Honda and Mugen are trying to find a way and a potential of CR-Z Type R through this kind of development. In fact, they have made 4 of these CR-Z Race Cars for racing purposes, and I think that is too much an investment if they just want to have fun and entertain people. There should be a further intention hidden behind. SPOON S2000 Race Car
[Story] One of the most popular endurance races Spoon joins every summer was canceled in 2009 due to economic crisis. But J's Racing, a good competitor to Spoon Sports, asked if Spoon was interested in trying another endurance race in Malaysia that summer. The Malaysian race car regulation was quite different from that of Japanese. In general, the Malaysian regulation required cars to keep more of the original condition. So taking the appearance of the car for instance, carefully looking at this S2000, you can see it doesn't have any of those Spoon bodykits. To go by the regulation, Spoon had to choose a Japanese stock Type S (CR in US) bodykit instead, which includes large front lips and rear wings. And the carbon fiber roof is by Mugen. And how did the race go? After 50 laps Spoon S2000 stopped due to gas shortage... and J's Racing, winner of previous year in the race, ended up in runners up. On 2010, Spoon is not trying for the same Malaysian race. But they had built another S2000 race car that goes by the Japanese endurance race car regulations. Needless to say, that car has most of the Spoon products equipped. 2008 SEMA: Chevrolet Camaro GS Racecar Concept
FOR MORE SEMA STORIES: www.edmunds.com LAS VEGAS — The blue-and-yellow color scheme of Chevrolet's Camaro GS Racecar Concept evokes memories of the late Mark Donohue's championship-winning Camaro from the 1969 Trans Am series. The concept will be on display at the 2008 SEMA Show. The GS concept was developed by North Carolina-based Riley Technologies, working with GM's Performance Vehicle Operations. Riley already is developing a similar GS-class racing car for the 2009 Grand Am Koni Challenge series. The SEMA car boasts a reinforced chassis and a race-ready suspension, with a production LS3 V8 and a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox. Riley adds a C&R racing radiator, upgraded oil, trans and differential coolers and a 3-inch exhaust system with Coast Fab mufflers. To keep track weight down, the 2010 Camaro gets a carbon fiber hood, deck lid, doors and fenders. The Donohue-inspired deep-blue paint scheme is accented with yellow graphics, yellow racing wheels and a yellow cockpit.

Are you a fan of car racing and car crashes? Been to those fancy car shows every holiday? Well, today, you're going to learn how to draw a race car in my 2010 car drawing tutorial. How to draw a realistic car step by step Toyota Supra Honda Civic Ferrari Enzo Spider f430 and many more cars on paper. Ms paint easy. (Artist - Tyler Vo) Some of my favorite sport cars are the Porsche 911, Pontiac, Maserati, Mitsubishi Evo, and Mazda. However, you're going to learn how to draw a Mercedes. This car was drawn using graphite pencils. Notice how I built the tone in the drawing. Start with the outline and add the DARKEST areas first, then add in midtones. Finally, add in the lighter tones and highlights. The area around the wheel has a dark tone but not as dark as the cast shadow of the car. Drawing this car is as simple as drawing a vector car. If you've seen my tutorial on drawing a Suzuki on paper, you'll see that it's very similar to this car, but this one is even more simple. At first the car looks like a mini Rover, but it'll start to look like a Mercedes as you add more detail.
