*TENNIS SERVE TIP*: Reasons Rafael (NADAL) Serves Big

jeffsalzensteintennis.com Rafael Nadal pronates his hand as he is hitting the serve. Rafael Nadal is going to hit the ball and then right after he hits the ball, his hand is actually going to be facing away from him on the serve. You can see from this video of my serve my hand pointing away from me after I make contact with the ball. The ball position is also very key when hitting a big first serve. Nadal tosses slightly over his head for his serve. Tossing the ball over your head on the first serves allows you the pronate through the ball better rather than slicing around it. Studying the tapes of Nadal he has learned to flatten out his first serve by fixing both his toss and the way his hand pronates on his serve. CLICK HERE FOR YOUR FREE TENNIS REPORT!!! PETE SAMPRAS' *Tennis Serve* Explained | FEDERER'S Weight Transfer On The *Tennis Serve*

jeffsalzensteintennis.com I had a viewer comment on my tennis serve on the Nadal Serve Video I have posted (http The viewer commented on the fact that I am not "following through" on my tennis serve. If you study Pete Sampras, who had one of the greatest serves of all time, you will see him arm bend right after contact. Bending your arm right after contact on the tennis serve will allow you to relax and pronate your hand and arm correctly. We have all heard the word "PRONATION" from a coach when they are explaining the tennis serve. The key is to be like Pete Sampras and actually get that arm to bend after contact during the tennis serve. The next comment this viewer made stated I was not jumping out into the court enough on the tennis serve. I am here to set the record straight on this tennis serve myth. If you study the videos of servers like Federer, Sampras and Roddick, most of the time they will land on the baseline or just in front of the baseline after their tennis serve. Traditional coaching might tell you jump out into the court as far as you can after the tennis serve. Well this leaves you, what some might call, "no man's land". This is not a good position to be in after your tennis serve. Take a hint from players like Roddick, who have been known to hit serves upwards to 158mph, and try not to leap out into the court after your tennis serve. The very last comment this viewer posted was that my toss was too far over my head on the tennis serve. If you compare my ...

*TENNIS KICK SERVE*: (How To Hit A Tennis Kick Serve)

jeffsalzensteintennis.com This tennis serve drill will help you learn how to hit a kick serve or topspin serve. A kick serve will give your opponent more problems by kicking up high to their backhands. We call this serve drill the dirty diaper to help you with the kick serve. First get down on your front knee and have the back leg up. From this position, try and toss the ball over the head for the kick serve. During the motion of the serve you want to try and hit the left side of the ball if you are a right-handed player and the right side of the ball if you are left-handed. The big key to hitting the kick serve is being able to brush up on the ball. To make that easier during the kick serve, actually lean into the court instead of rotation while trying to make contact. At the end, try to keep the elbow up and the palm of your hand facing you. Adding the kick serve to your game will help increase the consistency of your serve. The three main points to take away for the kick serve are 1. Toss the ball further over your head 2. Lean into the court instead of rotating 3. Have the palm of your hand face you at the end Kick serves are more consistent than slice serves. Learning the correct kick serve technique will help you improve your serving game today! *TENNIS SERVE* | Top Women's PRO Changes Her Tennis Serve

jeffsalzensteintennis.com I have had to great opportunity to coach a girl who has reached 48 in the world on the WTA. Her name is Vasilisa Bardina. She played Kim Clijsters in 2007 at the Australian Open. Here is the link to check out the match http When Vasilisa first came to me, I told her the biggest thing to change was her tennis serve. To be very blunt, she got to #48 in the world with a deficient tennis serve. She agreed to work with me on trying to change her tennis serve. It is very surprising that someone who has reached such a high level was so open and willing to change her tennis serve. The other surprising thing that happened is that she changed her tennis serve in three days. Now I know most of you are saying "well she's a pro athlete it is easy for her, I can't do that". For those of you thinking that, I want you to take a look at my last video of a kid who changed his tennis serve as well. Vasilisa spent three practice days changing her tennis serve. There was still hard work that had to be put in. If you examine Vasilisa's old tennis serve, you will see that her elbow drops in the motion of the tennis serve. Comparing Vasilisa to some of the best servers like Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, she noticed their elbows don't drop and did her best to copy what they were doing. We did lots of continuous swing and position iso holds to re-train the muscle memory on her tennis serve. Now when you looks at her tennis serve, you can see the elbow staying higher and ...

Tennis Serve Toss

www.fuzzyyellowballs.com The second step of the tennis serve is the toss. The toss is arguably the most important part of the serve. You need to be able to put the tennis ball in a specific location above you head every single time you serve. In other words, you need a consistent toss to be an effective server. This video discusses the key elements of the toss -- how you hold the tennis ball, when and how you release the tennis ball, and what to do with your tossing arm after you've tossed the ball. Tennis Serve Pronation

www.fuzzyyellowballs.com Pronation is one of the most important parts of the tennis serve. Every high-level tennis player pronates when he or she hits the tennis ball. Tennis Serve - Serve Step 2 - Toss and Backswing

www.fuzzyyellowballs.com The second step of the tennis serve deals with the upper body. Specifically, the toss and the backswing. Tossing the tennis ball is extremely important when trying to hit a tennis serve. If you can't place the toss consistently, your serve won't be consistent. The backswing gets your tennis racket and hitting arm to the "L" position, which allows your arm to swing correctly later in your tennis serve. You want to time the toss and backswing so that they complete at the same time. The way your arms move is sometimes called "down together, up together" because your arms move down as one piece and up as one piece. This should make timing your tennis serve easier. In Which We Serve

Based on the true story of Lord Mountbatten's destroyer, "In Which We Serve" was nominated for two Oscars and is one of the most memorable British films made during World War II. Unfolding in flashback as survivors cling to a dinghy, the film interweaves the history of HMS Torrin with the onshore lives of its crew. The 1942 film was the inspiration of Noel Coward, who desperately wanted to do something for the war effort, and he produced, wrote the screenplay, composed the stirring score, and starred as Captain Edward Kinross. Coward also officially codirected, though he handed the reigns to David Lean (in his directorial debut). There is fine support from Celia Johnson and John Mills, as well as a star-making debut from an uncredited Richard Attenborough. The use of real navy and army personnel as extras, together with lavish studio production and authentic shipboard location footage, lends the film an unusual sense of realism. A landmark in the careers of many of the most important names in British film, this moving and occasionally harrowing classic has a vital place in the development of British cinema.

How to Serve in Table Tennis

Learn how to serve in table tennis with thisping pong video. Expert: Tahl Leibovitz Video transcript: My name is Tahl Leibovitz and I'm here at SPiN, New York. I am a professional table tennis player who has been competing internationally since 1995. I am here today to speak to you about the intermediate and beginner aspects of the Olympic sport of table tennis. I'm now going to demonstrate how to serve in table tennis. I'm actually known throughout the world as having very legal services so, the thing is what we need is to do is first we need to stand behind the end line. When we serve, we cannot have our racket over this white line. Our racket's got to be behind the white line so that's the first important thing. Secondly, our palm has to be completely open. We can't cup it like this, we have to have the ball in our palm and it has to be open and behind the line. Third, we need to throw the ball at least six inches. It can't move like this. It has to stay here, six inches. Fourth, which is really important and they just changed the rule, we cannot hide the ball. I'm going to demonstrate an illegal serve which is the way players used to play. They used to serve here and serve under their arm. We can't do that anymore. Now what we need to do is we need to serve here and move our hand so that's uh one way for a legal service. So what we're doing is we're, we're starting the ball- it's in the palm of our hand or behind the white line, we're throwing the ball six inches and ...
